Fabulous couple of meals here with friends and pup in tow. Really well looked after, great food and the dog got a lot of love šŸ©šŸ„° Food is a mix of nicely executed Asian influence dishes and traditional British favourites. The tempura prawns are huge, juicy and crispy, with a very moreish noodle salad. The burger a decent size with goodb"normal"fries and the Sunday roasts really really generous portions with loads of gravy. Loved this place and the staff!

Went for date night on restaurant week. Great looking venue inside. The staff are top notch, great service. Had a couple of lovely pints and wine. Unfortunately the burger ordered was not up to scratch. The fries could have been a lot more crispy and the burger was overcooked and dry. The sea bass ordered was gorgeous with the saffron mash.

It was my husbands birthday so I went online and seen reviews, so decided to go rang up to book, food was amazing friendly staff, then I got bill at end, witch they had put extra charges on. I asked them to clarify this , which they did and it was wrong, then I realised it was wrong. I payed for it. My husband got a 2 course for Ā£20 and I got a three course for Ā£23 then there was an extra charge of Ā£5 for my beef and an extra charge of Ā£5 for my prawns so watch out for the hidden air charges your not just paying for a 3 or two course meal this left a bitter taste prices should be more clear. Sorry I wonā€™t return because of thisā€¦. Donā€™t mind paying for good food but I felt as if your charges where hidden on menu most be more clearer for customer

Quite probably the best Sunday lunch ever! The food was so good, we had Lamb and belly pork, with a side of piggies in blankets, everything was just perfect! The place is very quirky, so great surroundings and the staff just the right amount of attentiveness, will definitely be going back!

Favourite restaurant in the North East and would definitely recommend to anyone. The Earl is a quirky bar restaurant, nestled on the outskirts of Newcastle city centre, not far from the iconic St Jamesā€™ Park. A hidden gem in a city filled with restaurant chains, this independently owned eatery has something for everyone. Vegan, vegetarian and Gluten free with helpful staff who will check everything with the chef for you. Their Sunday lunch is the best in the city (roast lamb or feather blade of beef are both amazing) Our most recent visit was a Friday evening and the meals were fish tacos, cauliflower steak with celeriac purĆ©e to start, chicken skewers with rice, lamb skewers with cous cous and flat bread (the menu names are much better than my descriptions) followed by a warm gluten free chocolate brownie served with salted caramel ice cream, raspberry coulie and berries. Pictures donā€™t do it justice. Evening meal prices were: Ā£20 for 2 courses Ā£23 for 3 courses Lunchtime is cheaper. (Our other guests with us also ate food and thoroughly enjoyed their meals, but itā€™s a bit rude to photograph your guests food) If youā€™re in Newcastle, your missing out if you donā€™t try The Earl!

Amazing Sunday dinner! Earl of Pitt Street is a cool place with a great menu and drinks selection. The beef was amazing, I highly recommend the Beaute Malbec red wine with this also. Great place for food, drinks and social, we will be back again soon!
